Welcome to the web site for Heritage Baptist Church. We are a Small, Independent, Sovereign Grace, Baptist Assembly. We are committed to the final authority of the Scriptures, as the Word of God; John 17:17,  2Tim 3:16,17,  2Pet 1:21. We believe that God is the Almighty Creator and sustainer of the Universe, That He is Holy and Righteous, and worthy of our worship, and adoration; Gen 1:1, 1Chron 29:10-13.  We believe that Jesus Christ is the Virgin-born, Sinless, Son of God, that He came to earth to give His life as a ransom for sinners, that He really did die on the cross, that He rose again from the dead, that He sits at the right hand of God to make intercession for His people, and that He will come again in great Power and Glory;  Matt 1:18-23,  John 1:29,  John 1:1-4, 1 Cor15: 3-8,  Heb 1:1-4,  John 14:1-4. We believe that the Holy Spirit is real, personal, divine, and that He takes the things of Christ and reveals them to us.  He it is who powerfully brings life to sinners, so that they believe in Jesus Christ as Savior;  John16:13-15,  Acts 5:1-5,  2Cor 13:14,  2 Thes 2:13-14. We believe that man is sinful, having rebelled against God back in the Garden of Eden, and that he is under God's judgement, and condemnation;  Rom3:23,  Rom 3:9-18. We believe that the church is a local body of baptized(immersed) believers assembling together to worship God, in fellowship, prayer, observance of the ordinances, and giving attention to the preaching of the Word of God;  Act 2:41-42,  1 Cor 11:23.  A  more detailed doctrinal Statement will be found in the 1st London Confession 1646.
